ok, SGI recommends not putting three SI cards in an Octane due to overheating
issues.  i refuse to let that stop me however.  ;)

what i would like to do, is drop a couple thermocouples in different places and
monitor various spots in the case for temperature.  does anyone know of an
affordable recording device?  i'm thinking something that i can hook the 
thermocouples up to and log the tempuratures with.  prefereably with the
ability to log results to a computer somewhere.
