Nope. the 3/8 is more truly called a 3/8-24 or 3/8-16 depending on if
it's the 'standard' coarse thread (16 turns to the inch) or the fine
thread (24 turns to the inch). a 6-32 screw is a 6 gauge screw with 32
turns to the inch. If memory serves me correctly, the 'standard' size
for a 3/16 screw is 32 threads to the inch, and I believe it's also the
same size as a 10-32 screw.
