Subject: free to good home: tricked out sparcserver 630 MP in no. va.

contact me if you're interested in rescuing this system from alexandria, va:

SPARCserver 630 MP, original chassis, fairly clean, in good condition. It's
got 128M and dual hyperSPARC 100 CPUs on a double-width mbus card that i cut in
half to fit on the 600 board without covering the simm slots (in its current
configuration, the CPU heat sink obscures the second mbus slot). The internal
scsi bus has been split into two chains; two 2.1 gig quantum disks are on the
onboard controller and a 4x sun cdrom and dds-2 dat are a sunswift clone card.
Includes extra ross and sun OBP chips, extra fuses, and maybe some other crap.

i last used this machine over a year ago. i installed solaris 2.5.1, mirrored
the drives, and turned it off. i don't remember the root password. you should
wipe the disks and reinstall. i have old solaris/sunos media for the desperate
and will help get the thing in your vehicle.

cheers,
-josh
