Sun could have gone with DDR RAM.  By simply interleaving memory
access they could have ended up with very high memory bandwidth while
making it far easier for their customers.  I have not been able to
find out the memory b/w on this system from looking at sun.com.
 
And why no Gig ethernet?  Even Apple G4's have GigE!
