heh, then they could really piss the customers off by saying: 

"sorry, we're out of spare parts for Ultra 1's, so we're going to replace 
your machine with an Ultra 5 (or worse, a SunBlade 100)"

at which point the customer replies:

"no thanks, I'd rather have the broken Ultra 1..."
