I suggest you think about doing a group purchase in a different way. Find a 
price point that you have 20 subscribers to and then bid that.

I think they will sell (close) between $100 and $150 each in lots of 20s, 
possibly less. See how many listmembers would buy at $150 each. Try $100 
each. Needs to be ready cash. Also needs someone to administer and someone to 
pickup/ship.

Are there records of previous sales to look at in the web site? I haven't 
signed up to look.

Remember there is shipping also.

Since I can't even afford $100 I am going to stay out. This is worth 
experimenting with since many disposal sales are going to be like this on the 
web.
