  SDCC.  http://sdcc.sourceforge.net.  The info on the web server and
the last released code are horribly out of date...if you grab it, get
a snapshot from CVS.

  BTW, it supports the mcs51, z80, Atmel AVR, PIC, Dallas 390, and the
Philips XA.  The mcs51 support is the most mature.  I flushed the Keil
development system (an expensive commercial mcs51 IDE) in favor of
SDCC some time ago.
