traditionally the parents of the bride paid for everything (or was that the
parents of the groom, damn this terrible memory)

i'm not saying that you should expect anyone to pay for anything other than
you, but don't be suprised when either your parents or her parents offer to
chip in.  they want this to be a special day even more than you two do.  they
have been waiting for this day for a LONG time now. ;)
