[rescue] NeXTStep/OpenStep question

Hi all!

I'm the process of rescuing some NeXT black hardware. I always
thought it was cool, but never had the opportunity to obtain some
until now. I will likely need to reinstall the OS on this box,
and it isn't coming with the media.

My understanding is that every black NeXT box is licenced for NeXTStep
3.3. Apple apparently used to give this away to people who asked for
it and provided a serial number for a NeXT box, but have ceased that
practice. (If they still do this, can someone supply me contact
information?)

If this is true, does anyone have a copy here that they are not using,
or can someone make a copy available to me (either by shipping or by
download)? Ideally, I would like both the user and developers kits, if
that is possible! :)

Also, what about OpenStep? Apparently, it has more features
available, but also tends to be slower. Licencing would also be an
issue in this case, if I understand things correctly. If someone has
a copy of OpenStep 4.2 that they no longer need, I might be interested
in that option as well. NeXTStep 3.3 would likely be sufficient
though, unless someone here knows better!

Many thanks in advance!

Mike.
