Isn't OS X a GNU environment? When I said that OS X wasn't an easy
port, I was just refering to the GUI stuff. And they already have
WinNT, so they've had to deal with porting the GUI before. But
Solaris should be essentially a free port, which OS X still isn't.

Nothing on freshmeat or sourceforge is going to help you push your
hardware doing videos, except maybe film-gimp, but I doubt that is too
relevent to you at the moment.
