Ok, why?  If you just want an audio stream, go for a $20 USB card and a
similarly priced USB audio breakout box.  If you want features above and
beyond those of "vanilla" Solaris audio devices, it would be tougher to
implement due to the total lack of an advanced Solaris audio framework.
I'd rather go with a higher end card to justify the extra effort.

FYI, the Solaris 9 software audio mixer is almost non-obnoxious.  Now if
only sdtaudiocontrol wasn't a Java pig...
