Palmer.  Ugh.  I remember he'd keep selling off units of DEC
and people would say "You're breaking chunks off the company
so someone can buy it!  AIGH!"  And he'd reassure everyone
"No.  No.  I'm just trying to sell off money-losing units
to regain profitiability".  Lather.  Rinse.  Repeat.

Then announced the Compaq buyout.
