[rescue] cant get support once they're out-of-business

I've been averaging a 3-week period of 16/8 duty cycles (16 hours on,
followed by 8 off, with no spindown during the "on" part of the cycle)
before I get "click, click, click, grrriiiiiinnnnnnnd".  I wish I had
cash.  I would be sending this IBM back for repair -again-, and replacing
it with a WD.  The IBM can go to some poor schmuck on ePay.
