I did something similar with TokenRing and 10baseT. I've set up a AXPpci33
running NetBSD as a router with an IBM TR card and a 3COM 3C<mumble> combo
card that were put on two separate networks. Worked like a charm ;-)

I did this because I had not enough MicroChannel ethernet cards for my bunch
of RS/6000-320 at that time...
