I still have one of these in the attic somewhere.  (Still searching the 
storage unit for my Altair too dammit.)

The Laser 128 was not a bad machine but it was not a //c by any means. 
The case was made of thinner plastic and the ASICs went bad in them - 
mine seems to have done that but I never got the chance to dig into it. 
  I had mine repaired twice by the local repair shop for that same 
problem  and I heard that others at the time were having the same problems.

I still fondly remember playing Conan on it. ;-)
