For my machine room in my basement, I'm planning on putting a small window 
unit in a marine plywood box and ducting two hoses (inlet and outlet) in from 
a basement window to blow air through the box and vent the waste heat.  I 
figure a plastic drip pan in the bottom and a "p" trap with a line leading to 
the basement floor drain, or a bucket underneath it should handle the 
condensate.
