Can you 'splain this please? I've got this U10/440 here that I'm trying
to get working with SCSI, and if you tell me I'm better off putting the
IDE drives back in and selling it to use the money to buy a U30 with a
slower (??? lower MHz, anyway) CPU and built-in SCSI, I'll listen. But I
wanna know why.

Right now, I'm using an SS20 as a three-headed Xstation for everything
on the rack, the main non-server of which is a linux dual P-III 500MHz
w/512RAM. Even running the display over the relatively slow 10M built-in
ethernet on the SS20, Netscape's insanely faster on the intel box than
natively with 4x50MHz microsparcs. Yet I'd rather have the SS20 on the
rack for serious server work. It's all a matter of what you want it to
do. The intel box happens to be better used playing mp3s and drawing
pictures for the moment.
