Yeah, the best sun3 site around.

My question is still not answered from what I can download from there.

I would assume the 3.0.1 rom can handle it, but I dunno about the 2.8.3 rom.

The hardware faq only says that the 1.6 rom and up is needed to boot from
QIC24 tape, and that the 3.0 and up rom is needed to use the CG6.

Nothing about the 150mb Sun Archive tape or the Sun (or other) cdroms.

Also, nothing in the sun cdrom faq either.

As a shortterm solution, I did some further digging in my dustbinstorage
and found a 60mb Archive tape drive with a good capstan drive wheel, and
my old boot tapes, and I will load SunOS 4.1.1U1 and then roll tapes for
NetBSD or OpenBSD.

It would be nice if I could get a cdrom to work, since there is a NetBSD
sun3 cdrom boot image, or, get the 150mb tapes to work, since I have a
couple of those in Sun variety with good capstan drive wheels.

Anyone know any details of mounting an internal scsi drive (3.5 inch)
on the 3/60 motherboard off its internal scsi bus run? At one time
I ran across someone that had done that, but I can't find it now.

Thanks

Bob
