[SunRescue] Wanted: NCDware

It seemed too good to be true... A "free" section at a computer shop with
an NCD HMX X terminal.

What was the catch? Broken? No memory? Requires an exotic fixed frequency
monitor?

It powered on fine, and accepted a generic 15" SVGA monitor with no
problem. The firmware messages came up fine, and the toughest choice
seemed to be whether I wanted to load the configuration via nfs of tftp.

Some hours of fiddling later, and after reading dozens of newsgroup
messages, I realize that I need an NCDware CD with a license to get this
X terminal going and satisfy the ncd license daemon. (I had incorrectly
thought I could download the needed software from the Solaris section
of NCD's ftp site.)

Is this a doorstop, or would anyone happen to have a copy of NCDware they
could contemplate selling? This is only for my own use at home, BTW.

Thanks,

Steve Worotynec
