Except that what you care about in mainframes is MASSIVE amounts of bandwidth.
...and you ain't got that on a MCA bus.
The purpose was to allow developers to develop/test/port their apps without
needing to use mainframe time to do it; or maybe be able to lug the system
around to customers to demo, etc.
No way could you run Oracle on the thing with any kind of performance.
