[SunRescue] Panasonic cdrom (was A new laptop for Reagen...)

has anybody with the panasonic 4x/8x cdrom with the
scsi port gotten it to boot solaris?  I tried my dell
knockoff unit (4x) on several of my ipx and laptops,
and it won't boot the sparc disks.  i don't think its
the 512 vs 2048 block size issue.....
