Yeah, the drive is fine.  It spins up, shows up on probe-scsi, etc.  The
drive is actually only a couple of months out of a 5 year warranty. :)
Unfortunately, I think that the software is a wee bit stupid or
something.  Maybe I'll go beat on the drive a bit more.  :)  Thanks,
