  My girlfriend's 24-year-old brother put it best just recently, during
a conversation about "faked maturity" and denial of what one finds
humorous just to act more "mature":

  "I think farts will ALWAYS be funny."


  ...and that's aside from the relief factor.  There's just very
little that can compare to the relaxing feeling of blowing an enormous
fart.  And if it can be musical also...so much the better!

  So, sometimes farts don't smell very nice.  Don't hold that against
them!  Sometimes even WE don't smell very nice.  Sniff at any of us
after a day of moving heavy computer equipment around.  Does that make
us any less lovable or useful to the world?  Of course not.  The same
goes for farts.

  Hooray for farts!  Farts are our friends!
