[SunRescue] Transforming Classic X's into Full Systems

I've recently picked up a mess of lunchbox-style Sparcs, including a couple of
Classic X xterm boxes. I read somewhere that the major difference between an X
and a normal Classic is the NVROM config. Has anyone out there tried this?
After a quick inspection, it appears to be the same chip as the Classic (for
that matter, it appears to be the same motherboard as the Classic), so is it a
matter of reprogramming the existing NVROM (machine ID?) or is it something
more involved that that?
