Hi!

I was hoping some one could answer a question.

It seems that lately in my various weekend travels through yard sales
etc. looking for old sun computers I have repeatedly run into the same
problem. I'm looking at a Sun machine a guy has for sale. He has the=20
unit with a drive & memory and he has a Sun monitor. What they don't=20
have is the keyboard.

On the machines I'm looking for (IPX's LX's etc) lack of the keyboard=20
sends the video output to the serial port. Now unless I carry a laptop.
which I can't generally do. Is there a way to get around this?

Does any one know of a way to "trick" the unit into believing the =
keyboard=20
is there even when it isn't? Could you make a fake plug out of an old =
cable?

Thanks
Darryl
