I look into these sorts of things every couple years, but never pull
the trigger.  I generally search for something like "Cell phone pots
adaptor" and wind up finding stuff like this:

$54.99 and has mostly good reviews.

One thing to keep in mind with anything like this is that a lot of them
don't work as well with older phones that get all their power from
the phone line.  Most of these devices don't provide enough amperage
to drive the old physical bells, that sort of thing.  Not so great
for marrying too old of a technology with the modern stuff.  It will
probably work just fine with the newer stuff that has powered base
stations and the like.

You'll probably have similar experiences with most VOIP boxes.
