Having only seen the specs and pictures online, I must say I'm not surprised.

That said, I get the feeling they are slowly turning Chrome OS into a
full-blown OS, i.e., another Linux distro like so many others.

I rather liked the original idea of just a browser running HTML5 web-apps.
