Which reminds me, cost to repair and frequency of theft factors into 
cost to insure.  I know that I, personally, check the cost to insure a 
vehicle before I purchase it, and I'm fairly sure that others like me 
make up a reasonable portion of the car market.  Therefore, it is in the 
car designer's best interest to consider cost to repair in the design of 
the vehicle.  By now, I am sure that manufacturers have taken the cost 
to replace airbags into account.
