I can't speak for all kids, but mine certainly will.  They love the
technology, sure, as do I  - but we all view it as a convenience rather than
a real part of life.

But, I may not be a typical parent.  Both my kids have had basic firearms
instruction, know where food comes from, understand gardening and
cultivation, and if pressed, could make basic stabby things from raw 
materials.  And they're 11 and 13.  :-)
