I once paid $60 for an HDMI cable (a few years ago), when I saw them on sale
at $3/ea I bought about a dozen - I now have a lifetime supply, I carry one in
each laptop bag, and I give one to friends when they ask...

I agree with after the fact cost averaging... ;^)
