I was involved with the predecessor of that, the beta version of 5 that
was released as 6.0.

As things often happen, the suit who signed us up for the project, got
a beta tester credit and a free boxed set. I found the bugs. The two I
remember is that both ssh sessions and NFS shares ran as root. No matter
what login you used, when you got a shell you were root on that machine.

The same with NFS shares. There were other NFS problems too. By the time
it was released as 6.0 they were fixed. :-)

However the point is not to find a useable ancient release of RedHat, it's
to see what they included in the original release. I'm not even sure if
I have anything it will run on, I wonder if I can do it using QEMMU.

Geoff.
