[geeks] Storedge 3310 as NAS box?

I have the opportunity to get a Storedge 3310 box with the add-in NAS
card, which gives it 2x Gigabit cards and NFS functionality along with
512MB of cache.

Has anyone dealt with these before? Apparently the software is from a
company called Procom which Sun ended up buying, and the underlying OS
is a modified BSD.

Am working with VMware, which has horrid NFS write performance unless
you have an NVRAM backed write cache of some kind (I am not brave enough
to turn on zil_disable).
