i'm trying to install the ast-open pkg from research.att.com on a
couple of osx 10.3 machines, without happiness. i can 'package read'
it fine, but then the fun starts... it doesn't help that i can't get
my head around the 'package' install script.
i'm using the latest pkg from last nov, and when i try to 'package
install' ksh complains about an unresolved symbol in one of the osx
libs, something about unix2003. could this have been built for 10.4?
if so, what's the latest version of ast-open that works on 10.3? or
maybe i'm just missing a 'package' step. ;^<
in the process of this, somehow ast-open stuff got installed in the
wrong places on one of the macs. now i think i need to reinstall
the bsd commands pkg, but a quick perusal of the dvdroms didn't turn
it up. if it's a separate pkg, where is it? if it isn't, how do i
reinstall without doing a complete 10.3?
