If they hard-code in points (rather than pixels), the result will scale
up.  Telling Windows to use "large fonts" redefines the reference for what
a point is.

Most OSes have no APIs to facilitate resolution independent drawing.  The
fundamental unit of operation for most raster graphics systems is still
the pixel.
