A good suggestion - same net effect (bigger letters), but that may not play well with some applications/websites, etc. that "hard code" font size...

I think the programmers of the world are what is holding this back, the hardware can do it... I suspect they lack the will to do it. I would think that most enery is being spent on getting more info onto smaller displays (smart phones, netpads, etc.), not less information on larger displays...
