The electricity supply is meant to be 220/230 volts AC 50 HZ, with the
exception of Pretoria (230 V?) and Port Elizabeth (200/250 V). I've
measured as low as 216 V at home (Cape Town).

Are other countries homogenous? Also (conspiracy theory time) don't
power companies make more money if they give you 240 instead of 230V?
