Such a cheery list.  Personally I'm of the opinion that we, as a species, are just plain screwed.  I see global warming as a way for the Earth to try to get rid of us -- kind of like how we have a fever when we get a virus and one of our body's immune responses is to raise the temperature of the overall organism in order to combat the infection.  The Earth is simply doing the same.

Fossil evidence indicates that mass extinctions coincide with significant rises in global temperatures.  Looks like our time may be up.

Even if the US made major strides in reducing or eliminating its greenhouse gas emissions, both China AND India have publicly stated that they will not be making sacrifices to their economic growth in order to reduce their carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.  That's right...we taught them well didn't we? 

I think I'll stop my rant here...otherwise I might start lambasting W, Cheney, and the rest of this degenerate administration (and Congress) for their stupid, myopic, crony based policies on energy and the environment (and I don't think the Democrats would have done much better).
