The verizon rep mentionned that there's a world version coming which
would do CDMA EVDO and GSM (not sure how many bands). I dont know if
you could still enable it on T mobile as main carrier though. Plus,
buying the i760 outright with no data plan is $519, but I dont know
who sells it like that. $399 if you are a verizon customer, $299 with
a new plan, $199 with new every two. There was also a $50 mail in
rebate.

Sprint has the Mogul, but you wont be able to use it on t mobile.

Currently, as far as I know, your option on T-mobile would probably be
the Wing which has the landscape keyboard, but I dont know if you'd
like it as a phone. I find that a screen dialer is a pain to use on a
sunny day. The original iPaq with the incredibly great looking Sony
reflective LCD is the only device I've been able to use with the sun
reflecting directly on it. It looked just like a book. HTC did make a
follow up to the Wing, named the Wings 100, but it doesn't look like
it is available from Tmobile yet. This one has the numeric keypad on
top, although portrait only, unless you can easily read sideways :)

The Wing is also slow at 200MHz and the screen (like several HTC made
devices) is lackluster at best.

I just found this i760 video review which mentions the Wing
particularly in part 4 and 5 i think:

One thing he doesn't mention is why the number keys are slanted: it is
because they are equally usable landscape or portrait. The more I use
this phone, the more I ask myself why they are not making more touch
screen phones with an actual keypad. I've lost all interest in the LG
VX10000 at this point.
