The HP business laptop still sell with XP.
I bought mine off eBay--NIB with warranty intact (HP warranties machines &
not owners.)
HP has a refurb/clearance store on their website
I think used Dells are easy to transfer to new owner and extended contracts
can be purchased during the inital warranty.
Dell has a reburb/scratch&dent/returned-new store on their website.
Don't buy from Dell Financial Services--they sell the off-lease laptops and
DON'T clean them AT ALL! (Though are easy to deal with.)

A lot of the current business models have XP drivers available since they
overlap the XP->Vista transition. The same is not true for the HP consumer
models.
