Hardware docs and schematics. If the unit is popular, they would appear
on the internet from someone who had no connection to us taking one
apart and figuring it out. One thing I don't want to encourage is an
amateur trying to do something by guessing that is already done. It's
a waste of effort and leads to customer dissatisfaction.

Not having them available does not prevent the Koreans or Tiawanese from 
duplicating it, they can just buy one and figure it out themselves.

No, but the DRM will have a loadable Kernel driver. Don't load it and
DRM goes away.

It is very unlikely that you will be able to duplicate one critical chip,
and that among other things has the DRM key.
