I occassionally leave mine "running" overnight for house-keeping, but
mostly put it to sleep by closing the lid.  The only reboots I've had
of late are as a result of OS updates.

Anyone else noticed that Firefox is not quite stable under OS X?  If I
open "Manage Bookmarks" and search, I can make it crash every time.
