Covad says it is available in the area, until I actually try to order
it, then they change their tune very quickly.  Verizon told me that it
was available at that apartment when I talked to them before signing the
lease, but again when I tried to order it, they changed their mind.

The local cable company want several thousand dollars to hook us up as
well.
