That makes sense - I'm just too used to Solaris & Linux installs which autoconfigure the X windows system.

I can understand that, but it is not "newbie-friendly" - it reminds me of configuring a Solaris box after a "sysunconfig". I think the second install I do will go about 3 times faster, since I won't go "Now what the heck is it looking for?" with every new prompt :^)
