All unregistered .com and .net (and quite a few others ... not all of
which are hosted by Verisign) domains will be directed to Verisign's
site. Because Verisign run .com and .net, it doesn't matter who your DNS
is pointing to as your specified DNS server will query Verisign's
servers for info.

This is breaking tons of stuff, and people in Other Places are spitting
blood over this.
