Yup.  Myself, I *like* the plain, utilitarian look in my car.  It's a
machine for transportation, not my livingroom, and I'd sooner *not* be
distracted by plastic fake-chrome on everything in sight and plastic
fake woodgrain, or have to deal with a seat cushion that I sink a foot
into when I get into the car.

(For that matter, I don't put up with that kind of crap in my
livingroom, either.)

Reliability is why Car & Driver and Motorcyclist (to name two) do
long-term vehicle tests and reports.  :)  (And C&D has been very
uncomplimentary about the long-term reliability of some of their
long-term test vehicles, let me tell you.)
