[geeks] OSX reminding me of windows?

That's still pretty bad, though MacOS X is certainly not alone.

I wonder if it is something about their hardware though? They have
definitely worked on it, since I can no longer crash the machines in the
local CompUSA. Took them forever to upgrade so I could play with the
next version.  It used to be that I could kill one just playing with
the machine while a friend yanked USB stuff in and out.

However, other OS I've killed doing this include:

* Windows 2000 and XP
* FreeBSD (4.7 will die on boot if I have my USB hub plugged in)

So far I've not crashed Linux like this, but I have wedged the device
driver so that a reboot was needed.

Is USB hardware that bad, or is it still just bad software?
