Ahhhhhhhhhh Jolt goooooood. Jolt Cola, Breakfast of Champions.
A 12oz can of Jolt has 71.2mg of caffeine. Mountain dew has has 55mg,
Red Bull 100mg, brewed coffee has between 150 and 250mg, and Espresso
has 600mg (a 2oz espresso shot generally has about 100mg).
Plus to my mind espresso tastes the best, and actually has a lower acid
concentration than any of the others listed.
Most of the other "athletic" or "power" drinks have about the same
caffeine content as red bull per bottle, but they tend to be packaged in
16oz bottles. They may also contain taurine and guarana, both of which
are stimulants and bronchodilators, and ginsneg which has some stimulant
effects but isnt considered a stimulant.

Modern mountain dew has no actual fruit flavors but it tastes vaguely
lime-ish. Original mountain dew was a lemon-lime and corn-syrup
concoction made for mixing with tenessee sourmash whiskey. They changed
it to what we now drink some time in the 50's.

Good root beer is flavored with sasparilla, and has no caffeine. Most
cheap root beer has primarily caramel color and flavor, and may also
have cola flavoring (and caffeine).
Cream soda is YUMMY and is primarily flavored with vanilla, and
something called diacytyl, which is what gives it the creamy or buttery
taste. Cheap cream soda tends to taste kind of like cool whip.
