Theres only one better way to sharpen than a rag wheel and that's a
slack belt. Of course with a wheel you can mount it on any standard
bench grinder (though a reverse grinder is better) whereas a slack belt
grinder is a very expensive proposition, and it takes a lot of skill to
properly grind using a slack belt.

But for final honing you probably still want to use the three s's,
Stone, Strop, Steel.
