Thanks a lot for the info, hopefully i'll put it to good use soon.

I fear having the same problem.  Not the mayfair markup, but finding a
good jewler to deal with.  I'm fairly sure i won't find one in the
podunk town here, but hopefully one nearby.  Granted, this is assuming i
come up with time during a day to go and look for one.  Maybe i'll set
aside a saturday.  That, or set aside the cash now, and get it after i
go back to school, when time is typically easier to come by.
