Found out that Pin 1 of J4 is on top of the drive, not the bottom (near
the power jack) - I looked at the drawing one more time, and I saw the
little arrow pointing to Pin 1, I don't know how I missed it earlier...

Any help on the first and final questions from prev. email greatly
appreciated!
